Alignment
WEBINAR – The CPO Must Think Business First
February 2, 2017

Ask your procurement team today if they fully understand their company’s business strategies and what’s expected from them in order to help achieve company goals, and you will likely get a “no”. Unfortunately, most procurement organizations are not aligned with their company’s goals which is very problematic because procurement as a business function can only become a strategic asset to the business if it has business objectives stated at a higher level than savings and cost cutting. What are the benefits for the business by leveraging the supply base, for example?

On the other hand, leading and aligned procurement organizations are increasing profitability and shareholder value and communicate their success very effectively to the wider company as a critical business driver. They help their internal customers and stakeholders achieve their business objectives and earned their “seat at the table”.

But, aligning procurement to the business’ needs and having a direct impact on the entire value chain is not an easy task. That’s why I urge you to register to our upcoming webinar presented by highly regarded procurement expert and former CPO of Mars Inc. Pat Mitchell.  Pat will examine:

  • How to define and establish the basis for procurement and business strategy alignment – the “business case”
  • How to develop the key drivers and the path to a “strategic partnership” focusing on business objectives – the “how”
  • The potential challenges faced in developing and implementing a procurement & business strategy alignment program today and tomorrow
  • The opportunity gain for companies when procurement has achieved mutual accountability for the success of many of the company objectives
