Lisbon, 7 May 2018
Vodafone Power Lab has agreed a partnership with the UK company Old Street Labs to begin using their Vizibl software platform in Portugal. The collaboration arose out of the Arch Summit – one of the biggest start-up events in Europe which took place last week in Luxembourg – and will enable start-ups incubated at Vodafone Power Lab to join a global platform where they will be exposed to a vast network of partners and suppliers in the markets where the Vodafone Group operates, thereby enabling possible cross-border business relationships.
“Working closely with Old Street Labs to deploy Vizibl is a further example of the power of partnerships and adds a global dimension to this recipe.”
In addition, thanks to Vizibl, Vodafone Power Lab is initiating a profound digital transformation in how it manages its relationship with the start-ups it supports. Using the innovative tools that Vizibl provides, it will be possible to monitor the development of each project in real time, as well as streamlining processes in order to improve the performance of tasks.
Luís Pedro Cardoso, head of Innovation at Vodafone Portugal, is optimistic about the opportunities that Vizibl can create for Portuguese start-ups: “Our strategy for Vodafone Power Lab is to work collaboratively with partners and mentors to help entrepreneurs develop their businesses. Working closely with Old Street Labs to deploy Vizibl is a further example of the power of partnerships and adds a global dimension to this recipe. We are very excited to see that this platform is able to create business opportunities for start-ups in other markets”.
Mark Perera, CEO of Old Street Labs, said: “Vodafone is leading the way in which key suppliers and start-ups collaborate with each other. We are proud that Vizibl is being used to manage Vodafone’s innovation pipeline in Portugal”.
