2018 is off to flyer at Old Street Labs. If you missed it, we announced a massive partnership with Tomorrow Street, a Vodafone/Luxembourg Government joint venture (read more here). But as we continue to dive in head first into the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the year that was 2017.

In a word, 2017 for the Old St Labs team was EPIC. I think it would be remiss of me not to point out some of the accolades we achieved and to recognise the hard work that got us there.

Vizibl got better Way better.. 2017 saw more than 30 product releases and major functionality updates. As the true one-stop-shop for Supplier Collaboration and Innovation, we know that as the needs of our customers continue to evolve, so too does the functionality of Vizibl. In 2017 we exceeded every expectation we had around what Vizibl was capable of. Don’t worry though; we aren’t resting on our laurels, Vizibl will continue to evolve throughout 2018!

Vizibl got bigger So big that we’ve had to move into a new office. After serving us well for a few years, WeWork is no more, and we’ve moved into our own space just around the corner in London’s Southbank.

Prost! Our offices in London, New York and San Francisco are now complemented by our first space in continental Europe in Munich!

Our team of advisers grows. In 2017 Steve Canning joined Old St Labs as an advisor. After a long and successful career as part of the Ariba SAP leadership team, Steve’s advice and guidance has been pivotal. Steve joins Noah Eisner (Coupa Founder) Matt Ziske (AirBnB) Gabbi Cahane (Cahane & Associates) as Old St Labs advisors. We’re forming quite a team.

30 days. That how long it took to get Vizibl up and running and delivering tangible results within a business in 2017. When compared to other enterprise solutions this is a miraculous feat. Huge props must be given to our customer success team for delivering time and time again on this bold commitment.

Recognition. Regarding formal recognition, Old St Labs and our product Vizibl was highlighted by Spend Matters as one of it’s ‘50 to Watch’. My co-founder Mark Perera was acknowledged as a 2017 ‘Pro to Know’ by Supply and Demand Chain Executive.

A friendship formalised into a partnership. In February of last year, Old St Labs and the German consultancy, H&Z, formalised what had been a long-standing collaborative partnership. We are now proactively working together to change to nature of supplier engagements.

London, Basel, Munich, New Jersey, San Francisco and Philadelphia. That’s the locations we were lucky enough to hold roundtables in during 2017. Connecting forward thinking procurement professionals and discussing Supplier Collaboration and Innovation is what keeps us ticking. Keep an eye out for our events in 2018, we’ve got something huge in the pipe.

All of this means we are coming into 2018 full of enthusiasm and with a massive tailwind that’s pushing us forward. 2017 was the most exciting and rewarding year of my career and I’m certain that 2018 will be even better.

To all our customers, advisers, investors and to the incredible team at Old St Labs, thank you for a massive 2017. Now let’s blow the doors off 2018!
